My selections for day three of Glorious Goodwood are detailed below.

Glorious Goodwood 2025 - Day 4 Preview

Race 1 - Goodwood Handicap Tips

I'm surprised to see that each-way odds are available for 8. AGGAGIO.

Maybe Gary and Josh Moore's poor run of stable form is factored into the price? Because he looks to have an outstanding chance.

Aggagio has run three times over the two mile trip at Goodwood this season, with Ashley Lewis' mount finished fourth on his return to the flat, before a narrow defeat to Manxman and Mr Hampstead in May.

Moore's seven-year-old was then backed into favouritism on his most recent start and proceeded to claim a cosy victory over a talented field.

Runner-up, Spirit Mixer has since won the Northumberland Plate. Sheradann and Zinc White finished third next time out, while fourth-placed Almuhit has struck twice since his defeat to Aggagio.

A four-pound rise for that success doesn't seem harsh at all, and Lewis' claimer leaves Aggagio shouldering just 7-11.

Race 2 - Thoroughbred Stakes Tips

Opera Ballo and Cosmic Year are the stand-outs here.

I'd favour the Godolphin runner, but won't be backing the market leader at anything close to evens.

I'll save my money for the Golden Mile!

Race 3 - Golden Mile Tips

Low-drawn horses dominated the Golden Mile for several years, however, Johan came from 18 when he won in 2023 and horses drawn in stalls 20 and 21 fought out the finish 12 months ago, so don't let the draw put you off backing any of the runners.

As with most of these big handicaps, I've taken two against the field and hopefully, the ground will be soft enough for 9. LATTAM, who hasn't been seen since a disappointing effort in the Lincoln at the start of the season.

A 125-day absence shouldn't be a problem for Julie Camacho's recruit.

On the back of similar absences, Lattam has won the Irish Lincoln, a big handicap at Newcastle and placed in the Lincoln and Balmoral Handicaps last season.

Ryan Sexton's mount is on a similar mark and soft ground should be right up his street.

I'm always keen to back 12. THEORYOFEVERYTHING when there is juice in the ground and hopefully Clifford Lee can navigate a tricky draw in stall one.

David O'Meara's five-year-old won twice on genuinely soft ground last season and he scored on his penultimate start at Ayr last month.

A defeat on better ground at Hamilton since then has seen the handicapper drop Theoryofeverything back down to a mark of 95 and, with conditions in his favour, he's more than good enough to challenge off that mark.

Race 4 - King George Qatar Stakes Tips

Sprints can be unpredictable at the best of times and this Group 2 looks exceptionally open.

The field usually converges down the centre of the track on the sprint course, so being drawn on either wing could be tricky, while soft ground form could be important too, given Wednesday's weather forecast.

I'm going to take a chance on 13. CELANDINE following an encouraging reappearance at York three weeks ago.

Ed Walker's filly was one of the top two-year-old fillies last term and beat Time For Sandals when the two clashed in the Lowther Stakes at York.

Celandine's only previous run over five furlongs came here at Goodwood in the Molecomb Stakes, where Walker's filly had to get forward early from a poor draw in stall one that day and proved to be a sitting duck as Big Mojo challenged from off the pace, dropping back to fourth as two more closers passed her late on.

On her belated reappearance in the Summer Stakes at York, Celandine broke well and was ridden prominently.

Sayidah Dariyan and Nighteyes flew home from the rear to fight out the finish, but Walker will have been delighted to see Celandine battle on to finish a creditable third.

Rage Of Bamby helped Celandine make the running before dropping back to sixth and she's since come out and won the Hackwood Stakes.

Celandine proved as a juvenile that she had the class and speed to contend in high-profile sprints and Kieran Shoemark's mount will be getting both age and sex allowances on Friday.

With that run at York under her belt, I could see her challenging again at Goodwood.

Race 5 - Bentinck Conditions Stakes Tips

5. HAUNTED DREAM ran out a cosy winner of this contest 12 months ago and Hamad Al Jehani's grey has every chance of claiming back-to-back wins.

James Doyle's mount enjoyed a productive winter in the UAE, winning a valuable contest at Al Uqda before a fourth-place finish in the Neom Turf Cup.

Haunted Dream travelled nicely throughout the Wolferton Stakes on his return to Britain, but was squeezed out of contention along the rail at the two pole and wasn't asked to try and pick up.

The ground was good-to-soft when Haunted Dream was only beaten a length in the Chesterfield Cup in 2023 and Cairo has boosted the form of his victory here last term.

This course clearly suits Haunted Dream and slightly juicy ground shouldn't be a bother.
