Chris Waller seemingly has had a winning formula in this race, but fillies who have competed in Sydney and are running well in lead up races need to be thrown into calculations.

Queensland Oaks History

The Queensland Oaks has a history since 1951, with champions such as Ethereal and Winx claiming all honours.

From 1973-2014, the race was run over 2400m but was changed to 2200 in 2015, before going back to 2400m in 2016 and once again back to 2200m in 2017 which we have seen it run at since then.

From 1980 the Queensland Oaks has been run at Group One level and with the quality of winners of recent years, that is not expected to change anytime soon.
