Spelled after runner-up finishes at starts one and two, Philia (barrier 16) has won all four starts in 2025 and the last of those triumphs have come via The Roses (2000m) on May 24, which is the traditional lead-up race to the Queensland Oaks.

The David Vandyke-trained filly is a half-sister to Duais, who won the Queensland Oaks in 2021.

Prior to her Australasian Oaks success, Benagil (barrier 5) was runner-up behind a smart Treaurethe Moment and the form has already been franked from the Australasian Oaks, with Femminile winning the South Australian Derby.

The daughter of Manhattan Rain is looking to atone after being well-held as a beaten favourite in The Roses.

Jenni's Meadow (barrier 1) caught the eye when runner-up in The Roses, which she contested third-up and fourth-up last winter, she was a Listed winner at Flemington.

While she was spelled after a seventh-place finish in the Wakeful Stakes last spring, Jenni's Meadow split Too Sarn Discreet and Femminile prior to that when second in the Ethereal Stakes.

Churchill's Choice (barrier 10) was undefeated from three runs in her first campaign and the filly is ticking over well this prep, with an unlucky return effort over 1400m followed by a runner-up finish in the Queensland Guineas.

The Nathan Doyle-trained galloper made ground last start in The Roses and she'll contest the Queensland Oaks fourth-up.

Movin Out (barrier 12) broke through for Chris Waller when successful in the Mornington Guineas and the three-year-old backed up seven days later for a fifth-of-sixteen finish in the Australasian Oaks.

The daughter of Staphanos was then four weeks between runs when third in The Roses and she came from the rear to place in that Group 2 lead-up.

A capacity line-up of 18 (plus five emergencies) make up the final field for the 2025 Queensland Oaks, which will now run alongside both the Kingsford-Smith Cup and Queensland Derby on the June 7 meeting from Eagle Farm.

Queensland Oaks Winners

The Queensland Oaks dates back to 1951, with champions such as Surround, Ethereal and Winx all past winners of this fillies feature.

From 1973-2014, the race was run over 2400m, but was changed to 2200m in 2015, before going back to 2400m in 2016 and once again back to 2200m in 2017, which we have seen it run at since then.

Gypsy Goddess (2022), Amokura (2023) and Socks Nation (2024) have won the last three editions of the Queensland Oaks.
