Valencia vs Real Betis La Liga Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Spoils to be shared in La Liga clash

Valencia and Real Betis are set for a closely-fought La Liga clash, with a draw appearing the most likely result. Historically, meetings between the two have seen both teams score, and recent form indicates another stalemate—potentially 1-1. Valencia are strong at home but often start the season slowly, while Betis have drawn many away games and struggle on the road. Anthony remains a key attacking threat for Betis, expected to register several shots on target. Both sides have injury concerns. Fans can catch the action via live stream with applicable restrictions.

Valencia vs Real Betis La Liga Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Both of these teams have endured slow starts to La Liga seasons in recent years. With Betis struggling on the road last term and Valencia proving strong at home, there's not much to separate these two teams for Tuesday night's showdown - I'm backing both teams to score and the spoils to be shared, with Betis winger Antony continuing his high involvement from the opening matchday.

Three of the last seven meetings between these teams have finished in a 1-1 draw and that's where the value lies again for this encounter.

Valencia improved last season to finish just two points off the European spots, but they were guilty of wasting their chances in a 0-0 stalemate with Celta Vigo in their opening game of the new season, while Betis held on for a 1-0 win at home against Real Sociedad.

However, Betis' home form is very different to when they go on the road, where they only managed five wins in 19 such games last term - along with a league-high 19 draws.

So another share of the spoils appeals for this game, while I also like both teams to score, which has landed in six of the last seven meetings. Betis were fortunate not to concede in the second half of their win over Sociedad at the weekend, so Valencia can get on the scoresheet at home.

Antony fired off five shots and was unlucky not to find the back of the net last Friday night - the Betis winger remains the primary outlet in attack and I can see him cutting inside and reeling multiple shots off again here.
  • BTTS has landed in six of the last seven meetings
  • Valencia have seen BTTS land in five of their last seven home games
  • Betis scored 25 away goals in La Liga last season (third-most)
  • Betis have won just one of their last eight competitive away games
  • Betis have drawn three of their last four league games on the road in August
  • Valencia have won just one of their last nine games in August
  • Valencia are unbeaten in 12 of their last 15 home league games
  • Antony has registered 3+ shots in four of his last five La Liga games, including five last weekend vs Sociedad

Valencia vs Betis Head To Head

This has been a tough matchup for Valencia as of late - they've only managed two wins from the last 13 meetings, but both came at home. Last season's matches saw a 1-1 draw at this venue before Betis prevailed 2-1 at home.

Valencia Form Analysis

It was a bit of a dour opening to the season for Valencia as they settled for a 0-0 draw with Celta Vigo.

It took until the 42nd minute for either side to work the keeper and although the game burst to life with 20 minutes remaining, neither team could ultimately find the back of the net.

Valencia have a recent history of slow starts, but they will want to improve on that, especially considering their encouraging ninth-placed finish last season, where they were close to securing a return to European football.

With eight wins from their last 15 league games at home, Valencia will be hoping to make The Mestalla a fortress again this term.

Valencia Team News

Sergi Canos, Alberto Mari, Jose Copete and Diego Lopez all remain sidelined with injury.

Defender Justin De Haas was booked and picked up an injury last week - he's in some doubt to recover.

Valencia Possible Starting XI (4-3-1-2): Stole Dimitrievski; Jesus Vazquez, Cesar Tarrega, Mouctar Diakhaby, Jose Gaya; Filip Ugrinic, Javi Guerra, Guido Rodriguez; Pepelu; Ryunosuke Sato, Umar Sadiq

Betis Form Analysis

Betis got the job done in their season opener last Friday night, holding on at home for a 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad.

Rodrigo Riquelme's second-half strike proved the difference, but Betis weren't convincing at the back and had goalkeeper Alvaro Valles to thank after a stunning late save ensured his side came away with all three points. Sociedad also struck the woodwork earlier in the second half, so Betis will want to tighten up defensively for this one.

Manuel Pellegrino's side finished in fifth spot last term, securing Champions League football, but with just five La Liga wins on the road, they need some improvement in these sorts of outings.

Betis Team News

Diego Conde, Aitor Ruibal, Ismael Barea, Giovanni Lo Celso, Gonzalo Petit and Abde Ezzalzouli are all out injured for Betis.

Fran Garcia and Facundo Bernal both made their Betis' debuts last week, while Irish striker Troy Parrot has joined the club and could feature off the bench.

Real Betis Possible StartingXI (4-3-3): Alvaro Valles; Fran Garcia, Natan, Marc Bartra, Hector Bellerin; Marc Roca, Facundo Bernal, Pablo Fornals; Rodrigo Riquelme, Cucho Hernandez, Antony
