Beaudesert Next Best Bet - Race 2 No. 8 Difronzo

Difronzo has plenty of experience, with his six starts resulting in three top-three finishes.

Two of those placings came over this distance, including a runner-up effort on a wet surface at Canberra on the second start of his career.

The gelding ended that preparation with a down-the-field effort at big odds in a Gold Coast maiden in January.

That race has produced plenty of subsequent winners, while the youngster resumed with a third-place finish at the Sunshine Coast last month.

Racing over 1200m, the gelding was beaten nine-and-a-half lengths on a Soft 7 track that day, with the runner-up subsequently placing at the same venue, and returning to 1400m he looks capable of defying a wide barrier to record his first win.

Beaudesert Roughie - Race 3 No. 11 Do What I Say

Do What I Say has placed in the top three in three of her four starts this preparation.

The most recent of those efforts saw her finish runner-up in a 1050m event at Toowoomba at the end of last month.

Racing on a Soft 7 track, the filly found only an impressive winner too strong when beaten just under six-and-a-half lengths.

While the pick raced over 1050m that day, she had filled the same position over this distance at Warwick just over three weeks earlier.

Nick Keal's representative boasts a favourable draw and the booking of Dylan Turner catches the eye, while the youngster gets in with a nice weight and rates value to double her career tally.

Charlotte's Here recorded some good efforts in defeat earlier this preparation, with three third-place finishes from five starts before disappointing last time out.

Racing at the Gold Coast, the mare finished last when competing on the synthetic surface.

The combination of a rise in distance to 1540m and a step up in class proved too much on that occasion.

The return to a Benchmark 58 event is in her favour and the switch back to turf poses no issue, having finished in the top three in all three previous starts on wet tracks.

While her only win came over 800m at Ipswich in August, she is proven at this distance with three third-place finishes to her name and may prove capable of causing an upset from an inside barrier.

Beaudesert Best Bet - Race 8 No. 2 Kalkanli

Kalkanli is versatile with regard to track conditions, having won on Good, Soft and Heavy ground during his 21-start career.

The five-year-old recorded his most recent victory over 1980m on a Heavy 9 surface at Ipswich on his penultimate start.

The gelding competed at this Benchmark 60 level that day, having previously finished second over 2200m at the same venue.

While disappointing when beaten more than six-and-a-half lengths back at Ipswich last time, it is worth noting he was racing at Benchmark 68 level.

The drop in grade is a positive and, with the extra distance no issue having won over further in the past, Boris Thornton's mount looks capable of returning to winning form in the finale.
