More than 150 years of racing history sits behind Hobart Racecourse, with the Tasmanian Racing Club first established in 1874 before Elwick emerged as the permanent home of thoroughbred racing in the state's capital.
Now known as Ladbrokes Park Elwick, the racecourse is located in Hobart's northern suburbs and hosts racing across much of the year, with the summer months providing the centrepiece of its annual program.
