Check out the roughie selections below.

Bunbury Roughie Tip

Bunbury Roughie - Race 9 No. 8 Cherry Can Run

This mare one of only two heavy track winners in the field, while she hasn't finished out of the money in four starts at Bunbury.

Cherry Can Run always need luck due to her racing pattern, hence the long odds, but she's ticking over nicely at present.

First-up, she denied Simply Thinkin' (won two of his next four) before closing off strongly in two Pinjarra appearances.

The wide draw isn't a concern and on what could be a testing surface late in the day, she could be finding the best ground.

Caulfield Roughie Tip

Caulfield Roughie - Race 5 No. 8 Procean

This Chris Waller-trained galloper impressed first-up over 1400m when circling the field from last at Newcastle.

Procean was then a month between runs via a fair second-up effort at Warwick Farm and getting to 2000m should suit now.

Waller almost got the chocolates last week with Ant, a youngster who was bringing New South Wales provincial form south.

This three-year-old looks every bit as progressive as that stablemate and now third-up, Procean could be peaking.

Doomben Roughie Tip

Doomben Roughie - Race 3 No. 6 Argentum Rock

The penny hasn't dropped with this youngster, but Argentum Rock has shown some potential over three starts.

Argentum Rock looks a type who can furnish over longer distances and he now gets to 1350m after racing over shorter trips.

After doing his best work late on debut, he recorded the fastest last 200m of the QTIS Jewel Prelude (colts & geldings edition).

He was hard to miss late via his recent resumption at the Gold Coast (race-fastest last 600m/400m and 200m).

Murray Bridge Roughie Tip

Murray Bridge Roughie - Race 9 No. 4 Layeruponlayer

He failed in a sole Hong Kong run, but Layeruponlayer was sharp on return to Australia, with back-to-back wins first and second-up.

After a seven-length maiden romp, the gelding put two lengths on a handy Outta Compton when completing the double.

Layeruponlayer hasn't saluted since a New Year's Day triumph and nothing has gone his way in three runs this campaign.

He found trouble fresh before covering ground second-up, while his last run was encouraging (race-fastest last 200m).

Randwick Roughie Tip

Randwick Roughie - Race 2 No. 5 Scarli Japali

There's still some upside with this four-year-old, who has recorded three wins and five placings over two campaigns.

She's completed two trials ahead of this return and a mile first-up gives Scarli Japali a sniff fresh, as she needs 1600m+.

After saluting in a Class 1 last December, she had no luck (covered ground) when fourth-of-thirteen over this track/trip.

Her highlight came in February when taking out the Canberra Cup Preview and she's got enough class to give this a shake.
