The 2026 Caulfield Cup market continues to evolve ahead of the historic 150th running at Caulfield on Saturday, October 17, with Zahrann retaining favouritism despite a below-par Turnbull Stakes performance and several challengers now crowding the next line of betting.

Zahrann heads the market at $7 with Unibet Australia. The Ciaron Maher-trained import secured his Caulfield Cup place by winning the Naturalism Stakes over 2000m, defeating stablemate Saint George by a length, before finishing 11th in the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington on October 3.

Half Yours is next at $11 as the defending Caulfield Cup winner builds towards another attempt at the 2400m handicap. The Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained gelding finished fifth in the Turnbull Stakes, continuing his progression after resuming over the Flemington mile earlier in the spring.

Royal Supremacy shares the $11 line after strengthening his spring credentials with victory in the Group 3 JRA Cup over 2000m at Caulfield, carrying 60kg to defeat Future History by three-quarters of a length. That performance added to an already secure Caulfield Cup position earned through his Q22 success during the Queensland winter.

Saint George is also $11 after finishing runner-up to Zahrann in the Naturalism Stakes before an unplaced run in the Turnbull. The Maher-trained stayer had already shown his credentials at 2000m and remains prominent in the market despite finishing 10th at Flemington last start.

She's A Hustler sits at $11 after finishing seventh in the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington. The Grahame Begg-trained mare had already established herself as a genuine staying prospect and remains firmly in Caulfield Cup calculations despite that latest result.

Wine Dark Sea shares the $11 quote as one of the leading international contenders. The Harry Charlton-trained gelding won the Group 3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury over 2671m at his latest start before travelling to Melbourne, where he is now preparing for his Australian debut.

Enfjaar is next at $13 after earning a ballot exemption through his Group 3 Glorious Stakes victory over 2400m at Goodwood. The Roger Varian-trained six-year-old brings established European middle-distance form into the 150th running.

With Zahrann still holding the top line, Half Yours returning as defending champion, Royal Supremacy bringing winning Caulfield form and two international runners prominent in betting, the market for the 150th Caulfield Cup remains deep and competitive.
