I've got plenty of time of Xarpo, who landed the cash for us first-up at an each-way price and there should plenty of improvement to come off that fighting performance.
She was there to beaten in that fresh attempt, with the Simon Zahra-trained galloper keen in the run before sliding outside of the leader and hitting the front sooner than anticipated.
Despite remaining against her own age and sex for this second-up assignment, Xarpo carries 4kg less than she did on June 28 and stepping to 1400m is a logical progression.

This winter warrior has been a terrific campaigner for connections, with over $1.2 million in prizemoney and despite being a rising seven-year-old, he's in career best form.
After a brave return second behind a subsequent Group 1 winner, Jimmy The Bear has recorded three wins and a runner-up, while he's chasing his first hat-trick on Saturday.
2000m is an obvious query, but this is a very thin race and he's superbly in under the set weights and penalties conditions, where the 108 rater is only giving 1-3kg to rivals who much less credentialed.

Waller almost got the chocolates last Saturday with Ant, a youngster who was bringing New South Wales provincial form south and Procean looks every bit as progressive as that stablemate.

Joe Pride has freshened-up In Flight following her fourth-up success in Sydney and daughter of Flying Artie has won a tick-over trial since that June 7 victory.
The four-year-old is no world beater, however, she's very honest and while this mare is up and firing, she looks so well placed attacking these black-type sprints over winter.
Wet ground will bring In Flight further into calculations, especially against the classier rivals of this Sir John Monash Stakes field, with most of them either early in their work or out of form.

After contesting both the Swan Hill Cup and The David Bourke, with the latter won by Jimmy The Bear, Prince Of Helena finds himself in easier company and there's relief after the 3kg claim.
