The recent races at The Valley showcased promising performances. Jenni The Fox, despite finishing fourth, showed endurance and potential for improvement with experience. Stoli Bolli demonstrated class with a third-place finish in a race slightly short for him, hinting at better results in longer races. Meanwhile, Esha stood out with a decisive win, reinforcing her status as a promising talent. Her speed and professionalism make her a strong contender for upcoming challenges, particularly in Group 1 races. Race 3 - Jenni The Fox (fourth): Condition just gave out late first-up with 60kg vs fitter out-and-out sprinters, but this was still a solid return from Jenni The Fox.
The four-year-old broke through first-up last campaign before contesting three stakes races and she was runner-up behind a smart Treasurethe Moment at Group 2 level when third-up.
1400m-1600m looks her right range going forward and while this wasn't an ideal winning set-up, there was late money for Jenni The Fox and she'll improve from this.
Race 5 - Stoli Bolli (third): While 1000m proved a touch too short fresh, Stoli Bolli looked the class horse of the field going off exposed form and there was merit to this performance.
With strong form around his first campaign and having been given time since contesting a hot race at the Sunshine Coast in January, he started a warm fav (both jump-out's were good).
In a sprint where the leader dictated and the runner-up had a final surge off a softer run in transit, Stoli Bolli was forced to come the rear and wide without a rival taking in him into the race.
Race 6 - Esha (won): She caught the eye with an impressive debut victory on May 17 in a two-year-old race that rated well and the filly won two jump-out's ahead of her August 9 resumption.
The third foal from I Am A Star (nine-time Group winner), Esha justified a short quote with a dominant win on Saturday and as a result, she's been a big firmer in the Group 1 Moir Stakes market.
She hardly beat up on slouches in this fresh triumph, while as a speedster who can make her own luck up front and then let down sharply, Esha is very professional for a lightly raced galloper.
