The Lions were extremely impressive in their win over City and oozed quality throughout, while the Eagles couldn't score in 120 minutes against Heidelberg and are languishing near the bottom of the NPL Victoria 2 ladder.

After edging out FK Beograd 3-2 in the R32, the Eagles stunned 2025 finalists Heidelberg United in the R16, advancing on penalties.
Goalkeeper Rory Brian was the hero for the Eagles, saving a penalty in the 80th minute before producing two more stops in the ensuing shootout.
However, it's been a poor season in the league for the Eagles - they currently sit in second-last spot on the ladder, winning just five of their 24 games - although one of those came in a 2-0 triumph over Brunswick City this past weekend.
