SE Melbourne Phoenix vs Adelaide 36ers Betting Tips – Phoenix Scoring Surge to Continue

South East Melbourne Phoenix are backed to score over 94.5 points against Adelaide 36ers on Saturday, with their recent offensive form and strong scoring record against the Sixers making this our best bet.

The Phoenix have scored at least 99 points in four of their last five games and have cleared 94.5 points in each of their last five meetings with Adelaide. There's plenty of reason to expect another productive night for the home side.

We're also backing Nathan Sobey to score 20+ points against his former club. Sobey has historically enjoyed this matchup, averaging 20.2 points against Adelaide across his career, more than against any other NBL opponent.

For the visitors, Bryce Cotton is our pick to make 4+ three-pointers. The league's leading scorer remains Adelaide's biggest offensive weapon, and with the Phoenix playing some high-scoring basketball recently, Cotton could be called upon to do plenty of damage from outside.

SE Melbourne Phoenix Form

South East Melbourne have been one of the NBL's more entertaining offensive teams this season, averaging 96.5 points per game despite an inconsistent 4-4 start.

The Phoenix have scored 113, 99, 105 and 115 points in four of their last five games, with their latest performance a convincing 115-83 victory over Cairns.

Their rebounding has been particularly impressive, averaging 44.6 boards per game to rank third in the competition. However, their shooting percentages remain among the league's lowest, making their recent offensive improvement particularly encouraging.

Nathan Sobey remains an important scoring option for the Phoenix, and his history against Adelaide makes his 20+ points market worth backing.

Adelaide 36ers Form

Adelaide have also opened the season with a 4-4 record, although their scoring has been considerably less consistent than South East Melbourne's.

The 36ers average 88.8 points per game, ranking 10th in the competition, and have failed to reach 94 points in five of their eight outings.

Their latest result was a 94-88 victory over Tasmania, following an impressive 84-78 win against Sydney.

Defensively, Adelaide have been reasonably solid, conceding 90.8 points per game, while their 45.4% field-goal shooting ranks ninth in the NBL.

Bryce Cotton remains the driving force behind the 36ers' offence, averaging a league-leading 26.3 points per game. His perimeter shooting will be particularly important if Adelaide are to match the Phoenix's recent scoring output.

Verdict

South East Melbourne's recent scoring form and excellent head-to-head numbers make Phoenix over 94.5 team points our best bet. We're also backing Nathan Sobey 20+ points and Bryce Cotton 4+ three-pointers.
