Illawarra Hawks vs Sydney Kings NBL27 Expert Tips

Sydney Kings are tipped to cover the -6.0 line against the Illawarra Hawks at WIN Entertainment Centre on Thursday night, with the league leaders facing the NBL's worst defensive team.

Sydney are averaging a league-high 101.0 points per game, while Illawarra are conceding 105.6 points and allowing opponents to shoot 50.3% from the field. The Hawks also play at the fastest pace in the competition, creating an attractive matchup for Sydney's high-powered offence.

Kendric Davis 25+ points is our first player prop. Illawarra have struggled to contain opposing scorers, and Davis should benefit from the additional possessions created by the Hawks' fast-paced approach.

Makuach Maluach 3+ three-pointers is also tipped at 2.15. Maluach made three triples in Sydney's 121-100 win over Illawarra earlier this season and has made at least two threes in every game.

Back Sydney -6.0, Kendric Davis 25+ points and Makuach Maluach 3+ three-pointers.

Illawarra Hawks vs Sydney Kings Head to Head

Sydney lead the all-time series 70-55, and have dominated recent meetings, winning five straight against the Hawks. The Kings claimed a convincing 121-100 victory in September, shooting 56% from the field and outrebounding Illawarra 46-25.

Illawarra Hawks Form

Illawarra improved to 2-6 with a surprise 91-89 road victory over Melbourne United on Sunday, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Makur Maker led the Hawks with a season-high 23 points, while Milton Doyle contributed 16 points and seven assists. Illawarra forced 18 Melbourne turnovers and converted those mistakes into 21 points, helping secure their first win in four games.

Despite that result, the Hawks remain bottom of the standings and have struggled defensively throughout NBL27. They are allowing 105.6 points per game, with six of their eight matches finishing over the total.

Sydney Kings Form

Sydney returned to winning ways with a dominant 102-81 victory over Perth Wildcats on Saturday, improving their record to 6-2.
