In recent horse racing events, notable performances emerged from three horses—Fenestella, Aztec State, and Whiskey On The Hill. Fenestella performed admirably in a small yet quality field, demonstrating significant promise for future races. Aztec State, despite facing difficult conditions, showed resilience and maintained a commendable form into his second racing campaign. Whiskey On The Hill, racing on an unfavorable short track distance, exceeded expectations by sustaining a strong run. These performances cast these horses as rising stars to watch in the racing circuit.

Race 1 - Fenestella (fourth): While it was only a small line up, there was quality in this five-horse field and the outsider performed admirably.

Fenestella has hit a flat spot at key stages in both runs to date and after conceding ground when left flatfooted here, the three-year-old got a second wind and she was quite strong past the line.

With improvement to come and still being eligible for maiden grade, Fenestella isn't far off a breakthrough in the right race.
Race 5 - Aztec State (fifth): He was an impressive first-up winner at Sandown and not much has gone the way of Aztec State in two subsequent starts.

The gelding was set a big task second-up when coming the rear with a big weight at Caulfield and in a muddling affair, he had similar problems on Saturday, where he was only third-up off a long break.

Aztec State held form seep into his second campaign, which includes a sixth-up success at 2000m before a spell and he's drawn out in all three runs this prep.
Race 8 - Whiskey On The Hill (eighth): With no first-up form to his name and resuming over a trip that's short of his best, there was little expectations here.

Whiskey On The Hill stuck on bravely after covering ground, while he found winning touch third and fourth-up last spring when recording victories at 2000m and 2400m.

For a galloper that started fav in the Bendigo Cup, which was a hot form race last year, his rating is still quite low and he can build off this good return.
