The 2026 Caulfield Guineas market has taken further shape following the key early-spring lead-ups, with Tron Bolt holding favouritism ahead of Blind Raise for the Group 1 mile at Caulfield on Saturday, October 10.
Tron Bolt heads betting at $3.50 with Betr after resuming with a seventh-place finish in the Run To The Rose at Rosehill on September 12.
The Chris Waller-trained colt was returning over 1200m after ending his juvenile campaign with three consecutive wins, including the Group 1 J.J. Atkins Stakes over 1600m at Eagle Farm, and the step back towards a mile remains firmly in his favour.
Blind Raise is close behind at $4 after strengthening his Caulfield Guineas credentials with a 2.75-length victory in the Group 3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude over 1400m on September 19.
The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained gelding has now won four of his five starts, and connections confirmed he will head straight to the Guineas following that Prelude success.
Warwoven sits on the third line at $8 after taking out the Group 2 Run To The Rose, where he raced on speed before holding off St Gotthard in a close finish.
The Bjorn Baker-trained colt has now won four of seven starts and continues to progress through the spring, with the rise to 1400m in the Golden Rose his next major test before any potential Caulfield Guineas move.
St Gotthard is next at $11 after losing his unbeaten record when runner-up to Warwoven first-up in the Run To The Rose.
The Chris Waller-trained colt had won both starts during his initial campaign and lost little in defeat at Rosehill, with his next step expected to provide a clearer indication of how he will handle the longer distances later in the spring.
Stormy Marco also sits at $11 and remains prominent in early Caulfield Guineas betting despite missing the Run To The Rose after being scratched from that event.
The Chris Waller-trained colt stays firmly in the market as the spring develops, with the Caulfield Guineas still shaping as a logical target should he continue towards the mile.

Caulfield Guineas History
One of Melbourne's oldest and most prestigious Group 1 races, the Caulfield Guineas was first run in 1881.
While it was temporarily staged at Flemington during the wartime years, the race has long been synonymous with Caulfield and remains a premier test for three-year-old colts and geldings.
Contested over 1600m since its inception, the Caulfield Guineas was elevated to Group 1 status in 1979 as part of the Australian racing classification system. That year it was won by Runaway Kid, following Manikato's triumph in the final pre-Group 1 edition.
Widely regarded as a stallion-making race, the honour roll features some of Australia's most influential sires, including Lonhro, Redoute's Choice and All Too Hard.
The Guineas has also served as a key form reference for the Victoria Derby, with 16 horses completing the coveted double, although Helenus in 2002 remains the most recent to achieve the feat.
Griff (2023), Private Life (2024) and Autumn Boy (2025) have won the last three editions of the Caulfield Guineas.
