Empire Of Japan (barrier 11) was outstanding on debut, winning the Group Three Breeders' Plate at Randwick by nearly three lengths on October 1.

The Team Snowden colt remains one of the key chances for the 2023 Magic Millions 2YO Classic, despite arriving off a December 24 loss at Randwick when finishing third.

The Waterhouse & Bott-trained Platinum Jubilee (barrier 7) won the Gimcrack Stakes on debut, which was run on the same program as the Breeders' Plate.

2022 Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Coolangatta took out the Gimcrack Stakes prior to the Magic Millions, although Platinum Jubilee isn't undefeated ahead of this feature, with a narrow Boxing Day defeat.

Sovereign Fund (barrier 17) is another main contender from the Snowden yard, a son of Capitalist that the Wyong Magic Millions on debut and given that event produced Fire Lane (defeated Empire Of Japan and Platinum Jubilee at her next start), it does look a key form reference.

This two-year-old was even more impressive at start two when bolting in at Doomben, albeit it was only a field of four.

Annabel Neasham prepares both Excel D'or (barrier 21) and Empress Of Wonder (barrier 16), with the latter having caught the eye in two 1000m attempts and she's expected to relish the 1200m now.

Multiple winners Royal Entrance (barrier 9), Fire Lane (barrier 15) and Skirt The Law (barrier 4) have also made the final field of 16 for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, which includes five emergencies.
