Daniel Morton trained four-year-old gelding Elite Street was a shock winner of the 2020 Winterbottom Stakes in Perth on Saturday night.
With all the attention on Godolphin star Trekking, Elite Street had won three of six starts leading into the Winterbottom Stakes, only breaking his maiden on June 24.
Settling in the second half of the field, Brad Rawiller was able to find the perfect card into the race on the back of Rock Magic and proved too strong over the concluding stages.
Hot-favourite Trekking was heavily backed after opening $2.40 on Tuesday afternoon, jumping $1.70 favourite for the race.
