The country program features several promising gallopers looking to progress through the grades, while a handful of lightly raced runners could make their presence felt against more experienced opposition.

Warrnambool Best Bet - Race 4 No. 10 Fammi
An impressive preparation on the training track has Fammi poised for a winning debut, with the Tom Dabernig-trained gelding catching the eye in two recent jumpout victories at Camperdown and Coleraine ahead of Thursday's 1000m maiden.
The three-year-old son of Lucky Vega has displayed encouraging early speed and professionalism in those hit-outs, suggesting he has a solid foundation for his first race-day appearance, while the booking of Linda Meech adds further confidence.
There is also some encouragement in his pedigree, with Fammi a half-brother to Corro, a two-time winner who has been competitive in metropolitan company, and the Dabernig stable has taken a patient approach before introducing him to the races.
Barrier 11 is the obvious complication, particularly over the short course at Warrnambool, although the gelding's trial performances suggest he possesses enough natural speed to take up a forward position, while fellow debutant Empire Fella and the resuming Hughie's Spirit are among the potential dangers.
Although he remains untested under race conditions, Fammi looks to have more upside than most of his rivals, and if Meech can negotiate the outside draw without expending too much energy, Fammi can strike in the fourth.

Warrnambool Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 5 Pastoral King
Few debut performances on Thursday's program were more impressive than the recent victory of Pastoral King, who returns to Warrnambool after scoring by two lengths on heavy ground at his first career appearance.
The Mitchell Freedman-trained gelding showed plenty of professionalism on that occasion, handling the testing conditions comfortably and putting the race beyond doubt, with the manner of his victory suggesting he could develop into a useful sprinter.
There should be further improvement to come from the lightly raced galloper, and the decision to return to the same circuit over 1200m looks sensible, particularly with Dean Yendall retaining the ride after partnering him to that successful debut.
Thursday's Benchmark 62 presents a more demanding assignment, with King West arriving off consistent recent performances and fellow last-start maiden winner Accuser also bringing an unbeaten record, although Pastoral King draws favourably in barrier five and carries a manageable 60.5kg.
A switch from heavy ground to a potentially firmer surface is another variable, but his debut suggested there is plenty of natural ability to work with, and with the benefit of race experience and a suitable draw, Pastoral King looks well placed to remain unbeaten.

Warrnambool Value Bet - Race 8 No. 5 Black Aces
Black Aces appeals as an interesting outsider in the Warrnambool finale, with the Ciaron Maher-trained four-year-old coming off an impressive local maiden victory and appearing capable of further improvement at his third appearance this preparation.
The gelding resumed over 1200m at Ballarat on September 18, finishing seventh after settling towards the rear, but there was significant improvement when he returned to Warrnambool over 1300m on October 15.
Racing prominently from barrier three, Black Aces travelled strongly before producing a decisive finish to score by two lengths, comfortably accounting for Symphony Sista and the remainder of a 13-runner maiden field.
The rise to 1400m looks a logical progression after that performance, and with just four career starts behind him, there is reason to expect further improvement, although stepping into Benchmark 62 company and negotiating barrier 11 will present considerably tougher challenges.
Cian MacRedmond takes the ride at 59.5kg, and while his ability to reproduce that latest performance on a Soft track remains unproven, Black Aces has already demonstrated an affinity for Warrnambool and looks capable of making his presence felt at double-figure odds.
