Flemington Roughie Tip
Flemington Roughie - Race 8 No. 1 Casino Seventeen
The seven-year-old has had a handful of state switches and stable changes over the journey.
Casino Seventeen now under the care of Gavin Bedggood, who has an excellent record with tried horses.
With a versatile performer who was a Group 2 WFA winner fresh last prep, he doesn't need to turn around this recruit.
His only time finishing out the money first-up was a debut fifth and he completed a strong workout on June 11.
Ipswich Roughie Tip
Ipswich Roughie - Race 6 No. 7 The Three Hundred
He's been freshened-up since failing in the Hawkesbury Guineas and there were excuses in that second-up defeat.
The Three Hundred covered ground and failed to handle a heavy track in that Group 3 attempt.
He was narrowly beaten prior to that in a fast-run race and that form has stacked up through Media World.
A tick-over trial has been completed and over a similar trip, the gelding was a comfortable third-up winner last prep.
Morphettville Roughie Tip
Morphettville Roughie - Race 7 No. 15 Hypernova
He ran the fastest last 600m and 400m of the May 24 card from Murray Bridge, where Hypernova was first-up.
The four-year-old followed the strong return up with a third-place finish on June 7 and he'll strip fitter from that.
Hypernova likes to find his feet and come with a late surge, so a switch to the main circuit at Morphettville suits.
This big and athletic type from the David Jolly yard still has some upside, while getting to 1100m looks ideal.
Pinjarra Roughie Tip
Pinjarra Roughie - Race 5 No. 10 Soldier Of God
There some encouraging signs over his first few campaigns, although he couldn't threaten in those outings.
Soldier Of God was given time ahead of his winter return and he landed bets in that first-up triumph at Northam.
That maiden rated well for the program and class, while Soldier Of God overcame a slightly tardy start.
He's well-bred, with his grandam a Group 1 winner, while his dam was a 1400m stakes winner at Ascot.
Randwick Roughie Tip
Randwick Roughie - Race 5 No. 9 Last Command
After putting the writing on the wall fresh, Last Command brought up win number three second-up at Kembla Grange.
He then had no favours via a similar event to this at Gosford, where he was back in a slowly run affair.
In that metro attempt third-up, the gelding finished off well (fastest last 400m and 200m of the race).
On a testing Randwick surface, his May 24 failure can be forgiven (all top three finishes have come on firmer ground).
