Ascot Roughie - Race 9 No. 9 Almighty Class
The market was against the four-year-old via his return on March 16 and while he didn't threaten, that fresh run was a pass mark.
Almighty Class then finished eighth-of-ten second-up on March 29, but there were excuses in that last attempt (covered ground).
Earlier in the season, Almighty Class recorded back-to-back wins to open his campaign before a tough run at Group 3 level.
His last metro victory was recorded over the Ascot 1200m and with a kinder draw third-up, he should enjoy a softer run on Saturday.
Eagle Farm Roughie Tip
Eagle Farm Roughie - Race 6 No. 13 Couples Retreat
While she arrives off a return loss at Hawkesbury as a well-backed fav, there's still room for improvement with Couples Retreat.
1000m is often a specialists trip and the three-year-old comes back to five furlongs with an 1100m performance under the belt.
Before bolting in with a strong maiden, Couples Retreat was easily the pick of the on-speed brigade in a race taken out by Enriched.
Enriched was a Listed winner last month, while she has also black-type form from her first prep through Zoubaby and Amelita.
Moonee Valley Roughie Tip
Moonee Valley Roughie - Race 8 No. 8 Muktamil
He's been very consistent, with his only time finishing out of the top four coming on debut in Europe when sixth-of-thirteen.
After a solid Sandown resumption without favours, Muktamil was a second-up winner and that Ballarat form has held up.
Soul Of Spain (third) is a progressive import who won his next start and Alma Rise bounced off that run to win the Country Oaks by two lengths.
The main query would be if there's a lot of rain and subsequent track downgrades, but Muktamil is proven on Soft 5/6 tracks.
Morphettville Roughie Tip
Morphettville Roughie - Race 6 No. 8 Private Legacy
Private Legacy returns to scene of her Australasian Oaks placing last year and she was only a stride off winning that Group 1.
Her spring fell away after a second-up placing and after being well-held via her March return, she was luckless in the Emancipation Stakes.
After getting out when that latest Randwick event was almost over, her late work was quite strong when in restricted room.
With one lead-up trial followed by two runs and with 1600m ideal now, Private Legacy could easily be peaking for Queen Of The South.
Randwick Roughie Tip
Randwick Roughie - Race 9 No. 13 Mighty Myrtle
The Dryden & Snowden-trained mare has recorded the fastest last 200m of both races this time, which have been in Country Qualifiers.
She was a month between runs second-up and with two 1400m outings completed, Mighty Myrtle should be nearing peak fitness.
The four-year-old has drawn out in both starts this prep and she wa scratched form Albury last week due to another wide alley.
She's won both of her prior third-up runs and with good wet track stats, along with a low draw, Mighty Myrtle has to be respected.
