Moonee Valley Best Bet - Race 2 No. 4 Elouyou

While he was assisted by the track pattern, Elouyou was only second-up when leading throughout on March 22 and two subsequent winners have been produced from that race.

Despite having good stats at 1400m, the five-year-old remains at six furlongs for this third-up tilt and he moved very well via an April 10 tick-over trial on the Caulfield Heath circuit.

He's a galloper who has a strong cruising speed, which is a perfect trait for Moonee Valley and vs some out of form opposition in a small field, Elouyou only needs to hold his form to salute again.

Revert Group Handicap Tips (Race 7)

Moonee Valley Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 6 Grinzinger Sun

This is tougher now at Saturday open class company against her own age, but Grinzinger Sun has returned in great touch and this metro attempt is warranted off back-to-back victories.

After sitting outside the leader first-up, the three-year-old landed good bets when successful in a Geelong BM64 and she should've won that last start by further (inconvenienced by the runner-up).

This Autumn Sun filly is from the same family as Real Impact and Neorealism (both Group 1 winners) and off that breeding, it's no surprise that she's taken some time to furnish.

Moonee Valley Value Bet - Race 8 No. 8 Muktamil

Muktamil has been very consistent, with his only time finishing out of the top four coming on debut in Europe when sixth-of-thirteen and he arrives here off a second-up victory on April 2.

That Ballarat form has held up, with Soul Of Spain (third) a progressive import who saluted at Sydney via his next start and Alma Rise bounced off that run to win the Country Oaks by two lengths.

Muktamil had chances early in his first Australian campaign, but he found winning touch deeper into that prep and there's no reason why he can't be competitive third-up at decent odds.

Manhari Recycling Handicap Tips (Race 9)

Moonee Valley Roughie - Race 9 No. 6 Lauding

All three of his Australian victories have come at Moonee Valley (hasn't finished out of the money in four starts here) and he did pull up lame via his first 1600m try for Ciaron Maher.

His wins have come over further, but Lauding has shown enough over shorter distances and for a galloper who has had bigger imposts in this grade, he's well in here with 57kg after the claim.

Off his 2024 references, this looks a suitable starting point for the resuming five-year-old and in a competitive race to finish the program, he has to be included at a double figure quote.
