Check out the roughie selections below.

Caulfield Roughie Tip

Caulfield Roughie - Race 9 No. 4 Golden Monkey

While the gelding found 1000m a touch sharp on his Australian return, that Country Discovery effort was fair.

He was then freshened-up ahead of the Golden Topaz and Golden Monkey was plain in that country feature.

As a result, blinkers go back on and he completed a solid jump-out on June 17 with that gear change in effect.

He's big horse who looks to carry plenty of condition, so he may have just needed a few runs to bring him on.

Eagle Farm Roughie Tip

Eagle Farm Roughie - Race 7 No. 9 Cranky Harry

Over 1350m first-up, it was effectively another trial for the five-year-old, who was doing his best work late.

Like all rivals behind Pier, Cranky Harry wasn't in contention via his latest attempt, but it was still a pass mark.

He wasn't suited under WFA conditions last time and he's better placed back on the minimum for a handicap.

The 2024 Murwillumbah Cup winner was stakes-placed at Eagle Farm last spring and he's building nicely.

Morphettville Roughie Tip

Morphettville Roughie - Race 5 No. 9 Synthesise

It was honest debut effort at Group 3 level and the David Coles Stakes form has stood up fairly well.

The half-sister to Ecumenical (three-time stakes winner) was then freshened-up ahead of a Magic Millions tilt.

That Murray Bridge run was encouraging, where the filly hit a flat spot and she was then in restricted room.

There doesn't appear to be that much between her and Matahga (fav) going off that clash, while 1400m suits now.

Pinjarra Roughie Tip

Pinjarra Roughie - Race 6 No. 13 Jelly Can Run

This is rise in grade, but he carries 3kg less and Jelly Can Run was placing in similar company earlier this season.

He's been consistent over 2024/25 and with three runs completed for the prep, he'll be at peak fitness.

Jelly Can Run has been good either side of an unlucky second-up run (race-fastest closing splits third-up).

The five-year-old has a fair record at Pinjarra and 1200m is his sweet spot here (two wins from three tries).

Rosehill Roughie Tip

Rosehill Roughie - Race 1 No. 6 Khumbila

He moved well in a decent open heat via a May 9 Rosehill trial, but Khumbila was a notable drifter first-up.

The four-year-old didn't handle a Heavy 8 in that fresh tilt and it was an improved effort second-up at Canterbury.

Khumbila ran the second-fastest last 800m/600m and 400m, and that 1200m outing should top him off nicely.

He was slow out from a wide draw in that last attempt, however, he's capable of settling much closer.
