Sunshine In Paris and Antino (subsequent Group 1 winners) have both been produced from the All Aged Stakes, while the daughter of Zoustar has completed a recent trial at Warwick Farm.

Giga Kick (barrier 10) resumed with a third-place finish in The Goodwood on May 15 and the Kingsford-Smith Cup appeals as a logical second-up option for the Clayton Douglas-trained galloper.

The five-year-old won his only prior Queesland attempt when successful in 2023 Doomben 10,000 and that followed a 1400m victory when successful the All Aged Stakes.

Benedetta (barrier 6) recorded a fifth-place finish in the All Aged Stakes and she arrived to that 1400m feature off a runner-up to Schwarz in the William Reid Stakes.

The Jason Warren-trained mare was again competitive last start via a fourth-place finish in the Doomben 10,000.

Kimochi (barrier 3) can be forgiven for her last start failure in the All Aged Stakes, as she pulled up lame in both the off-foreleg and near-hind leg, and her two prior performances were both encouraging.

The 2024 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes winner won a 1200m Warwick Farm trial on May 13.

Kingsford-Smith Cup Winners

The Kingsford Smith Cup was formerly known as the BTC Cup, with the race name changed in 2017.

In 2006, the race gained Group 1 status and from 1991 to 2016, this sprint was always over 1200m before the recent increase to 1300m.

Apache Chase (2022), Think About It (2023) and I Wish I Win (2024) have won the last three editions of the Kingsford-Smith Cup.
