Brazil vs Haiti World Cup Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Brazil will be hopeful of a big win when they come up against Haiti at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday in World Cup Group C action.

Brazil have topped their group in every World Cup since 1982, but they face stiff competition from Morocco and potentially Scotland to extend that trend in this competition.

After a 1-1 draw with Morocco in their opening game, goal difference from potential wins over Haiti could prove pivotal as to which team tops the group and potentially gets a more favourable path in the knockout phase.

It wasn't a great opening performance from Brazil, but they managed to claim a point thanks to a brilliant goal from Vinicius Jr and will be looking to build some momentum here. Haiti meanwhile gave an excellent account of themselves in a 1-0 defeat to Scotland, registering more shots than any other Group C side on Matchday 1 with 15, along with having 22 touches in the opposition box.

With those numbers in mind, one outside prop I like is Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor to attempt 2+ shots - something he's done in his last two games for Haiti. Brazil don't look entirely convincing at the back, so Isidor should get his chances.

But overall, if Haiti couldn't penetrate the Scottish defence, I find it hard to see them scoring against the five-time world champions. Take Brazil to win to nil with room to spare, along with Raphinha to get off the mark at this World Cup.
  • Brazil have won their last two games vs Haiti by a combined 13-1 score
  • Haiti have failed to score in three of their last four defeats
  • Brazil beat Panama (similar quality to Haiti) 6-2 in the lead-up to the World Cup
  • Brazil have won eight of their last nine World Cup games vs CONCACAF nations
  • Raphinha has scored 55 goals for Barcelona across the last two seasons
  • Wilson Isidor has registered 2+ shots in his last two games for Haiti

Brazil vs Haiti Head To Head

Brazil have won all three previous meetings, most recently a 7-1 crushing at the 2016 Copa America.

Brazil Form Analysis

Carlo Ancelotti will demand a much-improved performance from his Brazilian side here after a somewhat lacklustre opening display against Morocco.

A superb equaliser from Vini Jr was enough for Brazil to secure a point in a 1-1 draw, but they were second-best for much of the contest.

In fact, it was the first time in 23 World Cup games that Brazil failed to register more shots than their opponents, going down 12-14 in that regard.

Brazil Team News

It appears as if Neymar will be sidelined until the knockout phase.

Igor Thiago didn't have much impact up front against Morocco, meaning Matheus Cunha could come into the starting side.

Haiti Form Analysis

Making their first appearance at a World Cup since 1974, Haiti impressed despite failing to break through in a 1-0 defeat to Scotland.

Haiti enjoyed more possession (54 vs 46) and registered more shots (15-9) than their opponents, but a lack of finishing quality ultimately cost them as Scotland defended their way to victory.

Wolves midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde was busy with three shots from midfield, while Wilson Isidor and Frantzdy Pierrot also had lively games up front.

Haiti Team News

Leverton Pierre has been ruled out of the tournament with injury.

Isidor has scored twice in five caps for Haiti and should retain his spot in the starting side up front.
