Saturday racing often throws up a few big-priced runners who can surprise, and this week’s meetings are no exception. Several rough chances across the major cards have the form to outperform their odds.

Ascot Roughie Tip
Ascot Roughie - Race 10 No. 7 Don't Trust Judas
His last two starts can be forgiven, including a February 14 run at Pinjarra where Don't Trust Judas was badly held up in the straight.
He struck traffic again when returning to Ascot seven days later but still produced the fastest last 200m of that contest.
The gelding has been mostly consistent throughout the season, with the highlight coming via a December 26 victory.
Three starts back he was also not far away over this distance when in the market and, with even luck, he can measure up at odds.
Caulfield Roughie Tip
Caulfield Roughie - Race 6 No. 11 Inherently
He is not going to get many chances to contest a $200,000 race, so this clearly looks a targeted assignment.
The set-up comes on the quick turnaround third-up from Warrnambool on Monday, where he was back to 1400m after resuming over a mile with a good run.
Off those first two performances this preparation, Inherently now drops sharply in the weights with just 54kg.
In an open race here, the lightly raced galloper can measure up at an each-way quote.
Gold Coast Roughie Tip
Gold Coast Roughie - Race 8 No. 1 Call Da Vinci
Call Da Vinci has to be respected first-up for his Queensland resumption.
His Melbourne campaign tapered off last spring, and it appeared that 1600m-plus tested the gelding in those final three runs.
His best effort down south came fresh at Caulfield when runner-up in strong company, and he should have finished a little closer there.
Earlier Queensland form included two wins and three placings from five attempts as a three-year-old, the latest a Group 1 third at Eagle Farm.
Morphettville Roughie Tip
Morphettville Roughie - Race 10 No. 7 Sharendipity
While not a prolific winner, Sharendipity was often thereabouts in stronger company throughout last year.
Both runs in February suggest another victory may be nearing for the daughter of Overshare.
She recorded the fastest last 400m and 200m of her return run in stronger company than she meets here.
Staying at 1000m second-up did not suit and the race shape worked against her, but the rise in distance now looks favourable.
Rosehill Roughie Tip
Rosehill Roughie - Race 8 No. 14 Cilacap
In a competitive Group 1 feature there appear to be three genuine each-way chances, including Verona Rose, Arctic Glamour and Cilacap.
The Victorian visitor is the longest price of that trio and shapes as an interesting rough chance.
She looks well suited stepping up in distance third-up and drops right down in the weights under handicap conditions.
Both runs this preparation have been better than they read, and this race looks the clear target for the campaign.
