Via Sistina (barrier 1) had to settle for second as an odds-on favourite in the 2024 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, which saw Pride Of Jenni open a huge lead and record a famous all-the-way win in the 2000m weight-for-age feature.
The Chris Waller-trained import has won seven Group 1's from 10 starts (two this prep) in Australia and the seven-year-old found career best form at the back-end of the 2024 Melbourne Spring Carnival, which included an eight-length romp in the Cox Plate.
English trainer William Haggas has an excellent record in Sydney (11 wins from 20 starters) and Dubai Honour (barrier 13) has been one of his success stories Down Under, with the seven-year-old winning both starts over the 2023 Autumn Carnival and that includes a victory in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Dubai Honour remained unbeaten in Australia when successful in the Tancred Stakes on April 1.
Ceolwulf (barrier 15) is one of the most progressive gallopers in the country and the penny dropped with the gelding over spring, with back-to-back Group 1 victories recorded before a spell.
While it was only a narrow victory last time out as a $1.50 favourite, the four-year-old still bounced back with a victory in the Neville Selwood Stakes.
Buckaroo (barrier 3) will be suited up to 2000m following a return in the George Ryder Stakes and his trial work was strong ahead of that 1500m resumption.
Prior to an unlucky runner-up finish when contesting the 2024 Caulfield Cup, the Chris Waller-trained galloper was only narrowly deafeated by Via Sistina in the Turnbull Stakes and he was gelded ahead of this season.
Light Infantry Man (barrier 11) proved his 2000m credentials with a last start victory in the Australian Cup and that was his second Group 1 win this season.
The 2024 Australian Cup was a good reference for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, with that race producing Pride Of Jenni (Queen Elizabeth winner), while Mr Brightside (third) and Cascadian (fourth) also contested that Flemington feature before heading to Sydney.
Japanese visitor Rousham Park (barrier 12) is a Group 3 winner over this distance, while the entire has placed twice at Group 1 level since an eighth-of-eleven finish via the 2023 Hong Kong Cup.
His last Group 1 placing was a runner-up finish in the Breeders' Cup Turf (2414m) last November.
Vauban (barrier 14) saluted on stable debut for Waterhouse & Bott, while the seven-year-old lost no admirers following that when finishing third-of-ten in the Group 1 Tancred Stakes.
15 runners make up the final field for the 2025 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes Winners
Run as originally the Queen's Plate and then the AJC Plate, this Group One was rebranded as the Queen Elizabeth Stakes in 1954.
Distances have varied for this feature over history, contested over 4800 metres and 3600 metres but was reduced in trip with the Sydney Cup becoming more prevalent and since 1986, has been run over 2000 metres.
Carbine and Tulloch were famous Queen Elizabeth Stakes winners in earlier years, while more modern champions include Jeune, Might And Power and most recently Winx who won the Queen Elizabeth Stakes three years in a row (2017 - 2019).
Think It Over (2022), Dubai Honour (2023) and Pride Of Jenni (2024) have won the last three editions of the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
