The Empire Rose Stakes looks to be a cracking field this year with some high class mares ready to tackle the 1600m journey at Flemington.
Three-time Group One winner Tofane (barrier two) will be looking to enhance her broodmare page after a great run in the Toorak Handicap last start, much better suited back to her own sex here.
Mystic Journey (barrier three) has caught the eye at both starts this prep and will now appreciate the step up to the mile, while Colette (barrier eight) put any doubters away last start with a good win in the Tristarc Stakes.
Still A Star (barrier five) won at Flemington last start and is up for the $1 million bonus if she is to win this feature.
A final field of 15 has been assembled for the 2021 Empire Rose Stakes.
