Mirnee Electrical Solutions Maiden Plate Tips (Race 2)
Geelong Best Bet - Race 2 No. 2 Bold Secret
He's a much more talented horse than what we saw first-up when disappointing as a beaten odds-on favourite.
However, Bold Secret still managed to split two subsequent winners in that May 15 return, with both Fehmarn and Tassorting saluting at their very next starts.
Phillip Stokes has opted for blinkers on the three-year-old to sharpen him up for this second-up attempt.
The rise in distance appears suitable, and we saw his talent on display on debut when contesting a Saturday two-year-old affair at Flemington, where only race experience got in the way of him winning that July 2025 event.
Lachlan Neindorf takes the reins on Thursday, with the talented young jockey boasting a very good record for the stable, which includes a Group 3 double for Stokes in Brisbane last Saturday.

Geelong Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 6 Join The Que
Although his stablemate underperformed coming out of the same event, with Astiquer disappointing on Wednesday, there is still reason to trust the Bendigo Class 1 form reference from May 13.
It looked a strong race and was won by Clevor Trever, who franked that form with a Caulfield victory last Saturday.
Join The Que was runner-up in that event and recorded the fastest last 800m, 600m and 400m sectionals of the race.
The improving Hayes-trained galloper had already scored an easy second-up victory at Stawell on April 5 when bolting in by 7.5 lengths.
Given he was more than five weeks between runs at Bendigo, there should be improvement to come, although wet ground remains the unknown.

Geelong Value Bet - Race 9 No. 2 Always Hapi
His form is mixed through three autumn appearances this campaign.
However, there was money for Always Hapi first-up on a Heavy 10 surface despite having no prior fresh wins.
There were excuses at Casterton last start after he was a little slow away before being hunted up in a fast-run race and feeling the pinch late.
His best performance this preparation came second-up at Geelong when running the third-fastest final 400m and 200m of the May 1 program.
The local galloper has a fair record at his home circuit, he's one of only two multiple Heavy-track winners in this field, while five of his six career victories have come on rain-affected ground, with a slight drop in grade and a 3kg claim also positives.
