Ipswich Next Best Bet - Race 1 No. 1 Scartoon
Scartoon showed up well last preparation, registering a win and a second placing from her three starts.
The youngster debuted with a runner-up finish on a wet track at Eagle Farm in November before breaking through for her maiden victory at the Sunshine Coast three weeks later.
That success came over 1000m on a Good 4 surface after racing on rain-affected ground at her first appearance.
The filly has started at big odds in both subsequent runs, including when an $81 chance in the Magic Millions National 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast last month.
Returning from a spell on that occasion, Scartoon travelled well before fading late, and this looks a much easier assignment with the drop back in distance expected to suit.

Ipswich Best Bet - Race 2 No. 11 Blue Poles
Blue Poles showed promise when debuting at Muswellbrook in April, finishing seventh in a 12-runner maiden over 1280m.
Settling in the rear half of the field, the filly was beaten just under five-and-a-half lengths before showing significant improvement at Bathurst next time.
That effort saw the youngster record her first placing when beaten just over half a length into second.
Annabel and Rob Archibald’s representative stayed on strongly at her first attempt over 1400m, finding only a front-running rival too good.
The filly shaped as though she would appreciate the extra distance she tackles here, while an inside draw is another positive for her Queensland debut.

Ipswich Value Bet - Race 4 No. 2 Robrick
Robrick has performed well at a higher level in the past, including when splitting Group 1 performers Rey Magnerio and Front Page in the Always Welcome Stakes at Flemington in November 2024.
While he is not the horse of old, the gelding has made only two starts since joining the Gary Doughty stable from Mick Price and Michael Kent.
The first of those efforts saw him perform well when finishing third in a 1200m Class 3 Plate on a Good 4 surface.
A Heavy 8 track combined with the rise to 1400m proved less suitable when the five-year-old finished eighth after starting at $31 in a Benchmark 85 event at Eagle Farm.
The prospect of a drying track is a positive, as is the return to 1200m, and having been freshened since that latest appearance he rates value to return to winning form.

Ipswich Roughie - Race 8 No. 3 Notes
Notes has three wins to his name and, while his most recent victory came back in January last year, he produced a solid metropolitan performance first-up this preparation.
That return saw the gelding beaten one-and-a-half lengths into third in an eight-runner Class 3 handicap at Doomben in March after starting at $51.
He has been unable to reproduce that effort in three subsequent starts.
The latest of those runs saw Notes beat only one runner home over 1400m on a rain-affected track at the Sunshine Coast last month.
The son of Wrote has performed well over longer trips in the past and, with drying conditions in his favour, may be capable of causing an upset.
