Ciaron Maher is looking for his first Doncaster Mile win and this season's leading Australian trainer has a strong hand, with Another Wil (barrier 21) leading the charge.
A lightly raced four-year-old who has recorded five wins from seven starts, the son of Street Boss has won all four outings this campaign, which includes a soft victory in last Saturday's Doncaster Prelude and that triumph secured his place in this $4 million dollar feature.
Another leading chance from the Ciaron Maher stable is Southport Tycoon (barrier 20), who was a last-start winner over this trip in the Australian Guineas.
That's proving to be a strong form reference with placegetters Veight (George Ryder) and Riff Rocket (Rosehill Guineas) both winning Group 1's on Golden Slipper Day.
Ciaron Maher also prepares Detonator Jack (barrier 2), Berkshire Shadow (barrier 13) Semana (barrier 17) and Nugget (barrier 9), with the latter being the first emergency.
Chris Waller is aiming for his seventh victory in the Doncaster Mile and among his leading chances is Militarize (barrier 4) who gets the services of leading Hong Kong jockey Zac Purton.
Zac Purton and Chris Waller combined 10 years ago with 2014 Doncaster Mile winner Sacred Falls, while Purton has enjoyed further success in this feature with wins aboard It's Somewhat (2017) and Mr Brightside (2023).
Another strong contender from the Chris Waller yard is Zougotcha (barrier 19), a mare who brought up back-to-back wins for the campaign last time out when carrying topweight in the Coolmore Classic.
Waller has also accepted with Kovalica (barrier 12), Democracy Manifest (barrier 11), Lindermann (barrier 22) and Hinged (barrier 14).
Think About It (barrier 15) carries topweight of 57kg and the dual Group 1 winner has 2kg more than Japanese entire Obamburumai (barrier 8) who won the 2023 Golden Eagle on Australian debut.
20 runners (plus four emergencies) make up the final field for the 2024 Doncaster Mile.

Doncaster Mile Winners
The Doncaster Mile is one of Sydney's most famous races and the pinnacle of The Championships day one.
Also known as the Doncaster Handicap, the Mile was previously held every Easter Monday, but was moved to be one of the showpiece events of the Championships, the grand final of autumn racing in Sydney.
The George Ryder Stakes is traditionally the key lead-up event for the Doncaster Mile, with the Ranvet Stakes, Randwick Guineas and All-Star Mile also among the main form races.
Cascadian (2021) and Mr Brightside (2022 and 2023) have won the last three editions of the Doncaster Mile.
