Six runners share early favouritism in the 2025 Caulfield Cup futures market with Betr and three of the fancies finished second, third and fourth in the 2024 Caulfield Cup.

Buckaroo didn't quite see out 3200m when contesting the Melbourne Cup, however, it was another solid performance from the Chris Waller-trained import, who was unluvky prior to that when beaten as fav in the Caulfield Cup.
The six-year-old was gelded ahead of this season and he's been very consistent since the ultimate gear change, with a narrow Turnbull Stakes loss to Via Sistina when attempting a hat-trick fourth-up.
Ceolwulf is one of the up-and-comers of the Australian middle-distance/staying ranks, with the four-year-old winning three of five appearances this season and that included back-to-back Group 1 victories when rounding out his spring campaign.
Although his feature wins were both recorded over 1600m, it's worth noting that the Joe Pride-trained galloper finished a narrow second over 2400m via the 2024 Australian Derby.
Land Legend (third in the 2023 Caulfield Cup) and Zardozi (fourth in the 2024 Caulfield cup) are also at the top of the 2025 Caulfield Cup market, and both finished their spring preps with competitive performances in the Melbourne Cup.
