Known as the Kingston Town Classic from 2007 to 2021, the Northerly Stakes is the final Group One of the calendar year in Australia.
A two-time Group One winner, Cascadian (barrier 12) will be aiming to make it two major victories for Godolphin over this Perth Carnival, following Paulele's triumph in the Winterbottom Stakes.
Champion jockey James McDonald heads west for this key engagement, having been aboard the eight-year-old for his last three wins.
Leading the local brigade is Amelia's Jewel (barrier 1), who has won five from six starts and as a three-year-old filly, she'll carry just 50kg under weight-for-age conditions.
The Neville Parnham-trained Bustler (barrier 9) is the other three-year-old in the final field, with this gelding having won four of five starts before a runner-up to Amelia'a Jewel in the WA Guineas.
Railway Stakes winner Trix Of The Trade (barrier 16) has accepted, as has Alaskan God (barrier 6), who was safely held as favourite in the Railway Stakes, but is unbeaten from two 1800m attempts at Ascot.

Northerly Stakes Winners
A Group One that has had numerous name changes, it will be best known to racing fans as the Kingston Town Classic (2007-2021) before the recent switch, which was named after nine-time Group One winner Northerly, who is one of the best horses to have come from Western Australia.
A 1800m feature run under weight-for-age conditions, this event has launched the career of many great horses, while it has also seen many established and famous gallopers triumph, which includes champions in Kingston Town, Vo Rogue and Better Loosen Up.
