The Brisbane Bullets are tipped to recover from their first defeat of the NBL27 season with a home win over the Tasmania JackJumpers. Despite a strong head-to-head record for Tasmania, Brisbane’s improved offense and dominance on the boards make them favorites, especially at home where they are unbeaten. Nate Hinton is expected to play a major role, with a player prop of 10+ rebounds thanks to his strong early-season performances. Tasmania’s inconsistent offense and poor road form add to the prediction for a Bullets win.

Brisbane Bullets Form

Brisbane suffered their first defeat of NBL27 on Wednesday, going down 93-78 to Sydney after opening the season with wins over New Zealand and Illawarra.

The Bullets actually led 34-23 after the opening quarter before Sydney took control, holding Brisbane to just 44 points over the final three periods. Jaylin Williams led the Bullets with 19 points and eight rebounds, but Brisbane were outscored 52-28 in the paint. They now return to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, where they have won both games this season.

Tasmania JackJumpers Form

Tasmania improved to 2-1 with an 84-82 home win over Melbourne United on Wednesday, but it was far from comfortable. The JackJumpers built a 19-point advantage before Melbourne fought all the way back to level the game late, with United's 5-of-20 shooting from three helping Tasmania survive.

Will Magnay produced 17 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, while David Johnson added 16 points. Tasmania's defence has been solid, allowing 88.7 points per game, but their 16 turnovers against Melbourne and inconsistent offensive production remain concerns heading onto the road.

Verdict
