Via Sistina is the best horse campaigning in Australia currently, with the Yu Long-owned import recording five Group 1 wins from her first seven outings for Chris Waller and her last two victories have been the most impressive of those performances.

After breaking the race record via an eight-length demolition in the Cox Plate, the daughter of Fastnet Rock rounded out her 2024 spring campaign with a stlylish win in the Champions Stakes and her only major disappointment in Australia was on wet ground when second-up in September.

Ceolwulf is one of the more progressive middle-distance/staying gallopers in Australia, with the four-year-old winning three of five starts this season and that includes back-to-back Group 1 triumphs when rounding out his spring campaign.
While he figures in many futures markets over 2025, it appears likely that the Joe Pride-trained galloper will take the weight-for-age route next spring should he continue his form over next year's Sydney Autumn Carnival.
Ceolwulf shares an $8 quote with Prognosis and the while the Japanese-based entire wasn't disgraced when runner-up the 2024 Cox Plate, Via Sistina did put an eight-length margin on him there.
