Just nine runners have accepted for the Group One George Main Stakes at Randwick on September 18 with champion trainer Chris Waller accounting for four of them, including the early favourite Verry Elleegant.

She has drawn barrier two for James McDonald for this second-up assignment which followed a brave defeat in the Winx Stakes, and is aiming to win her ninth Group One via this 1600m feature.

The champion mare finished fourth in the 2020 edition behind Kolding (barrier four), a galloper with a great record at Randwick and Star Of The Seas (barrier five), who has accepted for another George Main tilt, having finished second to Kolding in last year's running.

Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott have dual representation with Riodini (barrier one) and Shout The Bar (barrier three), while Group One winners Think It Over (barrier six) and Cascadian (barrier nine) also make up the final field for the 2021 George Main Stakes.
