Max Verstappen is backed to take pole position and complete a perfect Singapore weekend with victory, while Lewis Hamilton is tipped to put Ferrari on the podium at Marina Bay.

Formula 1 heads straight from Malaysia to Singapore with Verstappen suddenly carrying genuine momentum. The Red Bull driver claimed his first victory of the season at Sepang and has now finished inside the top two in three consecutive races.

Marina Bay represents a very different challenge. The tight street circuit demands maximum downforce, punishes mistakes and offers relatively few easy overtaking opportunities, making qualifying particularly important.

That puts even more weight behind the Verstappen pole selection, while Ferrari's strength through slower corners makes Hamilton an interesting podium contender.

Red Bull's recent improvement has been increasingly difficult to ignore. The team's upgrades have delivered stronger performances across Madrid, Baku and Sepang, culminating in Verstappen finally breaking through for his first victory of 2026 in Malaysia.

Singapore hasn't always been kind to Red Bull, but this looks like a very different car to the one that struggled earlier in the season.

With overtaking difficult around Marina Bay, Verstappen and Red Bull know how important Saturday will be. Four different drivers have taken pole across the last four rounds, but Verstappen is the selection to end that run.

Verstappen is backed to convert pole position into consecutive victories.

His Sepang performance was particularly impressive because of how well he managed his tyres in difficult conditions, consistently getting more from the same compound than teammate Isack Hadjar. Red Bull's recent upgrades have also produced improvements across several very different circuits.

Hamilton is the second selection. Ferrari showed excellent race pace in Malaysia despite getting its early strategy wrong, and Marina Bay's slow 90-degree corners should play more towards the strengths of the Ferrari.
