Alex de Minaur vs Adrian Mannarino Preview

De Minaur enters as a strong favourite after an impressive opening-round win and has a golden opportunity to make another deep run at Wimbledon following several early exits by higher-ranked players in his half of the draw. Mannarino is a dangerous grass-court opponent whose flat left-handed game has troubled top players over the years, but De Minaur's speed, consistency and improved aggression should see him progress if he maintains his level

Alexandra Eala vs Maya Joint Preview

One of the standout matches featuring an Australian, this shapes as a clash between two of the brightest young stars in women's tennis. Joint arrives full of confidence after defeating Serena Williams in the opening round and recently edged Eala in the Eastbourne final, suggesting she has the game to cause another upset despite Eala's seeding.

James Duckworth vs Flavio Cobolli Preview

Duckworth's experience and comfort on grass make him a dangerous opponent, but he'll face a tough challenge against ninth seed Cobolli, who has enjoyed an outstanding season. The Australian will need to serve well and keep points short if he's to upset one of the tournament favourites.

Sorana Cirstea v Kimberly Birrell Preview

Birrell will look to continue her impressive Wimbledon campaign against experienced Romanian Sorana Cirstea. The Australian has shown she can trouble higher-ranked opponents on grass, but Cirstea's powerful baseline game and experience at Grand Slam level make this one of Birrell's toughest tests of the tournament.

Australians in Action at Wimbledon on Day 5, Friday July 3

Australia's Daria Kasatkina faces one of the toughest tests of the third round when she takes on four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka. Kasatkina battled through a gruelling three-set victory over Janice Tjen to reach this stage and says her confidence is growing with each match, but she has never beaten Osaka and acknowledges the Japanese star's powerful serve and attacking style are perfectly suited to grass. While Osaka has never progressed beyond the third round at Wimbledon, she cruised through her second-round match and looms as a formidable opponent in what shapes as one of the standout clashes of the day.
