Moe hosts an eight-race card on July 3 with a strong lineup of progressive contenders. Key bets include Infinite Jest (Race 5), thriving on heavy tracks; Power Pivot (Race 7), showing improvement on rain-affected ground; and Godtfred Kirk (Race 8), a promising new stable recruit with solid soft-track form. Wet conditions are expected to influence results, making track preferences crucial. Bettors are advised to prioritize horses proven in the wet, with Godtfred Kirk and Infinite Jest looking especially well-placed for success.

Moe Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 6 Infinite Jest

While this is a tougher assignment for Infinite Jest, he also arrives hard fit and in form, with conditions to suit, as the lightly raced five-year-old is unbeaten in two attempts on Heavy ground.

That includes the impressive Moe victory here last start, where there was plenty of merit in the one-and-a-half-length success after covering ground throughout.

That followed a narrow second-up defeat at Werribee, while the campaign opened with a runner-up finish here over an unsuitable 1214m in a race won by Undisputable, who has placed at his past two metropolitan starts.

The Moe local thrives on his home track, with his only unplaced effort here coming when fourth-of-12 on debut.

Having ticked the distance box last time out, the Templeton-trained galloper can go on with it on Friday.

Moe Value Bet - Race 7 No. 6 Power Pivot

It was a solid enough resumption at Moe on May 28, where Power Pivot made ground after a slow getaway to finish fourth-of-12, recording the fastest final 200m of the race on a Heavy 10.

Going back to 2025, he was perhaps just a run short second-up at Cranbourne, although it was another honest performance on June 21.

We've already seen that form franked, with runner-up Nearco Frod a comfortable metropolitan winner at Sandown on Wednesday.

He's still very lightly raced despite being a rising five-year-old, with this just his ninth career start in only his second preparation.

Rain-affected ground could prove the key, with his maiden victory coming on a Heavy 9 after a debut third on a Soft 5, while both runs this campaign have also come on wet tracks.

Moe Best Bet - Race 8 No. 4 Godtfred Kirk

Young trainer Reece Goodwin has a great record with tried purchases, and he looks to have another handy recruit in Godtfred Kirk.

The gelding was good on stable debut at Pakenham on May 22, where a market drift suggested he would benefit from the run, but he was strong through the line when beaten two lengths into second behind Next Step Iowa.

That form has stood up through Next Step Iowa, who won at Mornington before placing at Caulfield last Saturday, while third-placed Off Their Perch bolted in at Sale second-up after that Pakenham race.

He was due to kick off here on June 18, but was scratched at the barriers after playing up, hence the return to the jump-outs.

While untested on Heavy ground, his best performances have all come on Soft tracks, and there was some strong form throughout his first campaign.
