[Odds from UniBet. Correct from 28/10/24].
Novak Djokovic has won the title on seven occasions over the last 15 years, while others to have lifted the silverware in that period include Holger Rune, Karen Khachanov, Jack Sock, David Ferrer and Robin Soderling.
Expecting this to continue in 2024, so backing World No. 1 Jannik Sinner - who is by far and away the best hardcourt players on the planet - and a surprise potential champion in Tommy Paul.
Sinner has already won seven titles this season and triumphed at the most recent Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai. How Carlos Alcaraz is favourite over him at UniBet is anyone's guess (I'm not expecting Alcaraz to go deep this week - like many of the top players, he will have one eye on the upcoming ATP Finals).
Meanwhile, Paul is one of a handful of players who can still qualify for the ATP Finals, so the American will be motivated for a huge week in Paris.
Paul recently won the Stockholm title indoors and was subsequently knocked out early of last week's tournament, meaning he's well-rested and prepared for one final tilt at the ATP Finals.
The American is priced around $29 at most other books, so getting him at $51 at UniBet is great value.
ATP Paris Overview
The Paris Masters is the ninth and final ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the year, with the very best players in the world colliding in the French capital.
Established in 1969, the Paris Masters has evolved throughout history and today is one of the biggest events in the world.
The tournament is notoriously hard to defend, with Novak Djokovic the only player in history to have won back-to-back ATP Paris titles. Djokovic is also the record seven-time champion at the event.
Coming at the end of a long season and just before the year-end ATP Finals, many top players find it difficult to find the motivation and physical strength to reign supreme in Paris.
This is illustrated through the fact that Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray combined for just two titles between them, with Nadal never winning the event.
The ATP Paris Masters is staged indoors at the Palais Omnisports (or Accor Arena) in Bercy, with the singles field consisting of 56 players and doubles draw featuring 24 teams.
ATP Paris 2024 Entry List
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are the top two seeds, but defending champion and seven-time winner Novak Djokovic has pulled out of the tournament and will also most likely miss the ATP Finals too.
French stars to watch include the rising Arthur Fils, who faces Marin Cilic in the opening round, while Ugo Humbert is also dangerous in these conditions.
There's some potential blockbusters in the early rounds, with Ben Shelton possibly meeting Sinner in the second round, while Daniil Medvedev faces the winner of Canada Masters champion Alexei Popyrin and Matteo Berrettini.
Some of the top seeds looking to go deep and pick up valuable ranking points in the ATP Race to Turin include Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud, Alex De Minaur, Grigor Dimitrov, Tommy Paul and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
