The 2024 Erste Bank Open is live from Vienna between October 21-27, with a stellar field of ATP stars squaring off for the ATP 500 title.

Alexander Zverev is the top seed and Australia's Alex de Minaur is seeded second, while there's a bunch of players looking to secure valuable ranking points ahead of the season-ending ATP Finals, including the likes of Grigor Dimitrov and Tommy Paul.

ATP Vienna Outright Winner Tip - Who Will Win the Erste Bank Open in 2024?

Zverev is the big favourite with the bookies, but the German has been battling a lung problem lately and hasn't been anywhere near his best.

Far too short to back outright, while second seed De Minaur is also underdone after returning from his own hip injury last week, losing to Hugo Gaston.

We wouldn't be surprised if we saw a repeat of last week's Stockholm final between Paul and Dimitrov, which the American won in straight sets.

Paul didn't drop a set all tournament and his motivation remains high as the looks to book a spot at the ATP Finals.

We think Paul is decent value with a relatively kind draw, while there's some value on qualifier Jakub Mensik, who recently made the quarter-finals of the Shanghai Masters, beating Dimitrov and Andrey Rublev along the way.

If Mensik can overcome eighth seed Alexei Popyrin - who looks burned out after a long season - then he can go deep in Vienna.

ATP Vienna Overview

Established in 1974, the Erste Bank Open - as it's currently known - as long been one of the most popular stops on the ATP World Tour.

The tournament has chopped and changed over the years and regained ATP 500-level status in 2015.

ATP Vienna is staged at the Wiener Stadthalle and features a 32-player singles draw and 16-team doubles field.

Austria's most successful player Thomas Muster never won the event during his illustrious career, finishing runner-up on three occasions.

However, Jurgen Melzer (twice) and Dominic Thiem have given home fans something to cheer about this century, with both players winning titles in Vienna.

Other big names to have come away with the Vienna silverware include Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Ivan Lendl, Andy Murray, Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner.

ATP Vienna 2024 Player Entry List

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner is the defending ATP Vienna champion, but the Italian has opted not to return this year, along with last year's runner-up Daniil Medvedev.

Alexander Zverev is therefore the top seed, while Alex de Minaur is the second seed at the bottom of the draw.
De Minaur, along with Tommy Paul and Grigor Dimitrov, are all battling to secure a spot at the coveted year-end ATP Finals, so this is a hugely important tournament for the trio.

It's also a massive occasion for the locals, with Dominic Thiem playing his last ever professional tournament as he gets set to retire following an endless battle with injuries.

Other players to watch out for during the week include Frances Tiafoe, Matteo Berrettini, Gael Monfils, Lorenzo Musetti, Alexei Popyrin and Jakub Mensik.
