The North American summer hard court swing continues its build up towards the US Open with one of the most prestigious tournaments on the calendar, with the 2026 Canadian Open taking place between August 2-13.
Shelton is the defending champion, winning his maiden Masters 1000 title when the tournament was held in Toronto in 2025.
Five of the top 10 will headline the 2026 Canada Masters draw in Montreal this year, led by Alexander Zverev, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Alex de Minaur, Daniil Medvedev and Ben Shelton.

The Canada Masters alternates between Toronto and Montreal each year with the WTA event. The ATP event in Montreal is staged on outdoor hardcourts at the IGA Stadium.

ATP Canada Seeds 2026
Unfortunately the tournament has received a blow for the second year running, with the three biggest names in men's tennis all withdrawing - Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.
However, that gives the other players a wonderful opportunity to secure a prestigious Masters 1000 title, with Alexei Popyrin the player who took advantage to reign supreme in 2024, while Ben Shelton took home the silverware in 2025.
Alexander Zverev is the top seed, followed by home favourite Felix Auger-Aliassime.
