ATP Basel Overview
One of the biggest ATP 500 events of the season, the Swiss Indoors in Basel repeatedly attracts the best players in the world.

Established in 1970, the Swiss Indoors is staged at the St. Jakobshalle and is played on indoor hardcourt. The tournament was upgraded to its current ATP 500 status in 2009, with a singles draw of 32 players and a doubles draw of 16 pairs.
Roger Federer was famously a ball boy at this tournament and fittingly, has won the most Swiss Indoors titles with 10. Stefan Edberg is the next in line with three, while Felix Auger-Aliassime won back-to-back titles in 2022-23.
Other big names to have emerged triumphant in Basel include Novak Djokovic, Juan Martin del Potro, Pete Sampras, Boris Becker and Ivan Lendl.

Andrey Rublev is the top seed and is joined in the draw by the likes of Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Ben Shelton, Ugo Humbert and more.
Two-time defending champion Felix Auger-Aliassime is also back as the Canadian attempts to make it three titles in Basel on the bounce.
Tokyo champion Arthur Fils is someone to watch, with the young Frenchman one of the most exciting players on tour, while Holger Rune is desperate for a return to form after a difficult season.
