WTA Adelaide 2025 Outright Winner Tips - Who Will Win WTA Adelaide?

Check back here closer to the start of the tournament as our tennis expert reveals his tips and predictions for the 2025 Adelaide International winner.

WTA Adelaide Overview

The Adelaide International is the second WTA 500 tournament to start the year following the Brisbane International the previous week.

First held in 2020, the Adelaide International is staged one week before the Australian Open, meaning it's the very last chance for players to get their games in order before the first major of the year.

Players will compete on outdoor hardcourts at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre, which is located close to the Adelaide CBD.

The singles draw consists of 32 players, while the doubles field has 16 teams.

Australia's own Ash Barty won the first ever edition of WTA Adelaide in 2020, while Iga Swiatek took home the title the following year.

Barty returned serve by claiming the silverware for the second time in 2022, while Aryna Sabalenka - the current two-time defending Australian Open champion - reigned supreme in 2023.

Jelena Ostapenko is the defending champion after defeating Daria Kasatkina 6-3 6-2 in the 2024 final.

WTA Adelaide 2025 Player Entry List

More players are set to be announced in the coming month, with the following WTA stars already confirmed for the 2025 Adelaide International:

  • Jessica Pegula
  • Barbora Krejcikova
Pegula has been a consistent member of the top 10 for years now, while Krejcikova is capable of beating anyone on her day - as evidenced through her shock run to the Wimbledon title in 2024.
