The third edition of the United Cup will be staged in Perth and Sydney, with the latter hosting the semi-finals and the final.

Aiming to fill the gap left by the Hopman Cup and the short-lived ATP Cup, the United Cup is the first mixed-gender team event to offer ranking points to players.

The United Cup is played on outdoor hardcourt and across multiple cities in Australia, with the 2025 edition being held in Perth and Sydney.

A total of 18 nations compete in the current format of the United Cup, with three groups of three countries competing in the round robin stage. Each session consists of one men's singles match, one women's singles match and a mixed doubles match.

The group winners will progress to the quarter-finals, with the semi-finals and final to be held in Sydney at the Ken Rosewall Arena.

Germany are the reigning United Cup champions having defeated Poland 2-1 in the 2024 final. Iga Swiatek defeated Angelique Kerber to give Poland the lead, but Alexander Zverev levelled the tie with a thrilling 6-7 7-6 6-4 victory over Hubert Hurkacz. Zverev and Laura Siegemund then teamed up for Germany to win the deciding mixed doubles rubber over Swiatek and Hurkacz and take the title.

Seven of the world's top 10 WTA players will feature at the upcoming United Cup, while six of the world's top 12 ATP stars are also in action.
