The ten-time Group 1 winner has followed the same preparation ahead of her title defence, returning with strong performances but finishing third in both the Makybe Diva Stakes and Turnbull Stakes.
Antino (barrier 6) emerged as a major Cox Plate contender after outstanding autumn triumphs in the Hollindale Stakes and Doomben Cup.
The Queensland galloper was unsuited first-up in the Memsie Stakes and again in the Makybe Diva Stakes before improving to finish runner-up in the Turnbull Stakes.
Aeliana (barrier 8) has mirrored the same lead-up as Via Sistina and managed to turn the tables on her stablemate when resuming with victory in the Winx Stakes.
The Australian Derby winner couldn’t repeat that effort in the Turnbull Stakes despite strong market support, producing only an even showing.
Treasurethe Moment (barrier 1) produced a standout performance first-up in the Memsie Stakes, defeating Mr Brightside, Buckaroo, Fangirl and Antino in a high-quality edition.
A minor setback soon after proved costly, with the four-year-old unable to rediscover that same spark in two subsequent runs, although she has still filled the runner-up spot on both occasions.
Nepotism (barrier 3) is by Brutal out of Brigite, an unraced half-sister to Black Caviar, making him a close relative of the legendary mare. The Group 1 Champagne Stakes winner has taken longer to come to hand this preparation but produced his best effort of the campaign when finishing seventh in the Caulfield Guineas.
He’s the sole three-year-old in the 2025 Cox Plate field and will carry just 49.5kg.
Globe (barrier 7) comes into calculations off a three-length Might And Power Stakes triumph in a field that included the consistent Buckaroo (barrier 4), who has finished in the placings in all three starts this campaign.
Light Infantry Man (barrier 9) can be hard to catch, though his class was evident in March when taking out the Australian Cup by two lengths. He and Attrition (barrier 2) both come through the Hill Stakes in Sydney, with the Mitchell Freedman-trained galloper having placed in his last three outings.

Cox Plate Winners
The Cox Plate stands as the most electrifying two minutes in Australian racing, a 2040m weight-for-age classic run at the amphitheatre-like Moonee Valley circuit.
First staged in 1922 and won by Tangalooma, the race has evolved into one of the sport’s true crown jewels, consistently drawing the finest middle-distance performers from Australia and abroad.
Its honour roll reads like a history book of champions, featuring four-time heroine Winx, triple winner Kingston Town, the mighty Northerly and the incomparable Phar Lap among many other legends of the turf.
In recent years, Anamoe (2022), Romantic Warrior (2023) and Via Sistina (2024) have added their names to that storied list, each etching a memorable chapter in the Cox Plate’s remarkable legacy.
