Autumn Glow heads the market for the 2026 Queen Elizabeth Stakes and is a clear standout at $1.40 with Neds.

The unbeaten four-year-old is chasing a 12th straight win and steps up to 2000m for the first time after continuing to thrive at the top level this campaign.

Her latest performance came in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes on Golden Slipper Day, where she produced a dominant weight-for-age victory.

Sir Delius sits on the second line of betting at $6 and brings strong spring form, having been highly regarded before his Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup campaigns were cut short.

The import has improved with racing this preparation, building off a fair return in the Verry Elleegant Stakes before finishing third in the Ranvet Stakes last time out.

Aeliana is also rated a $6 chance and arrives in peak form after a breakout preparation at Group 1 level.

The mare broke a decent drought in the Ranvet Stakes before completing a Group 1 double with a win over Dubai Honour in the Tancred Stakes last start.

Dubai Honour is priced at $11 and returns to Randwick with a proven record in Australia, including a win in this race during the 2023 Autumn Carnival.

The William Haggas-trained entire was strong again in the Tancred Stakes last time out and remains a genuine threat at the elite level.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes Winners

Originally run as the Queen’s Plate and later known as the AJC Plate, this Group 1 feature was rebranded as the Queen Elizabeth Stakes in 1954.

The race has been contested over a variety of distances throughout its long history, including extreme staying trips of 4800 metres and 3600 metres, before being shortened as the Sydney Cup grew in prominence, and since 1986 it has been run over 2000 metres.

Early winners include legends such as Carbine and Tulloch, while more modern champions feature Jeune, Might And Power and Winx, who famously claimed three consecutive Queen Elizabeth Stakes from 2017 to 2019.

Recent renewals have been taken out by Dubai Honour (2023), Pride Of Jenni (2024) and Via Sistina (2025), rounding out the race’s contemporary honour roll.
