Australian Oaks 2026 Betting Odds - Ohope Wins Shades Profoundly
Ohope Wins is poised as the favorite in the 2026 Australian Oaks with a winning odd of $2.20, following a solid performance in the Vinery Stud Stakes and a Group 1 victory in the New Zealand Oaks. Profoundly, who has secured two wins in three starts, remains a strong contender with odds of $3.80. Meanwhile, Soverato and After Summer are also considered formidable challengers, boasting recent commendable performances. As history dictates, the Australian Oaks is a race of great prestige, boasting a roster of past winners that includes extraordinary filly talents.
- Ohope Wins is the 2026 Australian Oaks favourite with $2.20 odds
- Profoundly shows strong form, noted at $3.80 odds
- Historical prestige of the Oaks includes past standout winners
While it appeared just an even performance on Australian debut in the Vinery Stud Stakes, Ohope Wins still managed to finish within a length of the winner in that 2000m lead-up.
It’s also worth noting she was five weeks between runs there after taking out the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks on February 21.
The daughter of Ocean Park gets back up to 2400m, the distance of her latest feature success, and now has her second run for Chris Waller, who is chasing a fifth win in this fillies feature.
At $2.20 with Ladbrokes, Ohope Wins is favourite to take out the 2026 Australian Oaks.
Profoundly ($3.80) is furnishing nicely, having won two of three starts this campaign, including a comfortable Group 3 victory in last Saturday’s Adrian Knox Stakes over 2000m.
That race has proven a strong form reference over the years, with 16 winners completing the Adrian Knox–Australian Oaks double, the most recent being Colette in 2020.
Soverato ($7) was well held in second behind Profoundly in the Adrian Knox Stakes, but she had been racing well prior, including a fourth-of-11 finish in the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes.
Her campaign began with a stylish win at Canterbury in February and she looks capable of improving stepping to this trip.
After Summer ($11) must be respected following a narrow runner-up finish in the Vinery Stud Stakes, where the Victorian filly finished ahead of Ohope Wins at just her second run of the preparation.
That effort followed a consistent spring, which included back-to-back Group placings, highlighted by a third in the VRC Oaks over 2500m at Flemington.

Australian Oaks Winners
Although the Australian Oaks dates back to 1885, it was not run between 1895 and 1922 due to poor nomination numbers in its early years.
Reintroduced in 1922 as the Adrian Knox Stakes, the race carried that title until 1956 before being renamed the AJC Oaks, and later the ATC Oaks following the merger of Sydney’s principal turf clubs.
Champion winners of the Australian Oaks include Flight, Wenona Girl, Light Fingers, Leilani, Surround, and Research, all regarded as standout fillies of their respective eras.
More recently, Pennyweka (2023), Autumn Angel (2024), and Treasurethe Moment (2025) have claimed the past three editions of the Australian Oaks.
