The 2022 Moir Stakes market has been released with Neds, run over 1000m at Moonee Valley at Group One level.
Group One place getter Paulele heads the market at $4, first-up at WFA level off the back of a winter preparation in Sydney & Brisbane.
Rothfire ($5.50) won the Group Two McEwen Stakes last start at this track and trip, a race in which The Inferno won last year before subsequently placing second in this very race.
Bella Nipotina ($7) and Extremely Lucky ($8) both come through the Carlyon Stakes, where the former beat the latter in wet conditions, but the latter looks to have that touch more scope if this track is in the good to soft range.
Beaten by Rothfire but still running well last start, Zoustyle is the last of the single figure chances at $8.
Generation ($11), Coolangatta ($13) and Isotope ($13) are the next best in the market.

Moir Stakes History
The Moir Stakes might not be the oldest race on the Melbourne calendar but it is without question one of the more beloved sprinting events.
The Moir is a spring shaping event on the Melbourne, with a number of winners going on to bigger and better things on the back of a victory in this event.
The inimitable Black Caviar, Queensland juggernaut Buffering and hall of famer Apache Cat launched big campaigns on the back of AJ Moir Stakes success, while Viddora claimed the prize in 2018 before heading to Hong Kong.
