Big Sky has impressed in two 1000m attempts to open his career, posting a 2.75-length triumph at Flemington before following up with a three-length victory in the Group 3 Chairman's Stakes.
In the 2026 Blue Diamond Stakes market with Ladbrokes, the son of Bivouac shares $5 favouritism with Guest House, who is also prepared by the Price & Kent (Jnr) stable.
A talented colt who is still quite raw, Guest House justified an odds-on quote when covering ground in a debut win at Cranbourne before a runner-up finish at Caulfield as favourite.
That latest performance came in the colts and geldings edition of the Blue Diamond Prelude, a race taken out by Closer To Free ($7), who was on debut in that February 7 outing.
That lead-up event was run more than two lengths faster than the fillies’ Blue Diamond Prelude, which was won by Streisand, who shares a $9 quote with Unit Five.
Trained by Ciaron Maher, Unit Five is two-from-two, with both victories coming in Magic Millions events, the latest a success in the 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast last month.

The Blue Diamond Stakes is Melbourne’s premier two-year-old race and continues to grow in popularity, with the Caulfield feature now worth $2 million in prize money.
First run in 1971, when Tolerance claimed the inaugural edition, the juvenile feature has produced several elite performers, including Redoute’s Choice, Alinghi and Extreme Choice.
Little Brose (2023), Hayasugi (2024) and Devil Knight (2025) have won the last three editions of the Blue Diamond Stakes.
