Treasurethe Moment was a brilliant first-up winner last campaign when claiming the Group 1 Memsie Stakes, contested over the Caulfield 1400m, the same track-and-trip as the Futurity Stakes.

Among the beaten brigade in that strong Memsie Stakes field were Mr Brightside, Buckaroo, Fangirl and Antino, and while the four-year-old did not quite progress through the preparation following a minor setback after that fresh victory, she still managed to place in three of her next four starts.

At $1.90 with Unibet Australia, Treasurethe Moment leads the market for the 2026 Futurity Stakes.

Feroce ($5.50) resumed with a runner-up finish in the Kevin Heffernan Stakes and brings a terrific second-up record, with two wins, a third and a fourth recorded.

His highlight came second-up in March 2025 when successful in the Group 1 Australian Guineas, while second-up last spring he was third in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes.

Pericles ($6) is often at his most effective early in a campaign, with six of his seven career wins coming first or second-up, although he is yet to break through at Group 1 level.

The Godolphin galloper was consistent across four spring appearances, following up a fresh victory with a third, a fourth and then a close second in the Group 1 Champions Mile.

There could still be upside with Evaporate ($8), a four-year-old who has won three Group races and has been highly consistent since his two-year-old season.

Tom Kitten ($8) defeated Feroce first-up in the Kevin Heffernan Stakes and was an unlucky runner-up in last year’s Futurity Stakes before winning the All-Star Mile.
